General Guidelines

 

After each meeting/clinic, all Big Brothers/Sisters are to meet with their Little Brothers/Sisters for at least 10 minutes to discuss volleyball face-to-face.

 

Little Brothers/Sisters should also call their Big Brother/Sister at least once every two weeks.  Sunday evening is usually the best time to call.

 

Discuss games umpired since the last conversation. Little Brothers/Sisters should ask detailed questions about mechanics, rule interpretations, or unusual game situations that might have occurred.

 

All Big Brothers should keep a detailed log of all phone conversations (number and dates) and observations of their Little Brother/Sister. This will be used at the Annual Meeting when discussing the possible advancement of these new officials.
