M.R.O.S. Softball Playoff Selection Procedure

The Softball Board of Directors has established the following playoff selection procedure that will be used to nominate candidates for all post-season assignments:

NOTES: Every effort will be made to use as many qualified umpires as possible in the playoffs. Except in dire emergencies, Softball umpires who also qualify for Baseball playoffs will not work beyond the District level in Softball if they are also scheduled to work Regionals or above in the VHSL Baseball playoffs.

In order for MROS to maintain its high rating in the eyes of the VHSL, it is the philosophy of the MROS Evaluation Committee and Board of Directors that we assign only “the best of the best” umpires to the VHSL State-level Playoff games.
