MROS Meeting Minutes

Sandston Recreation Center

Vice-President Bill Harrison called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.

The attendance was taken by sign in sheet.

The minutes were approved as presented on the website.

The Treasurer’s report was presented by Bruce Frye and approved as presented.

Bruce handed out the Commissioner’s report.

Dave Hunt reported that the banquet is Monday, June 27, 2005 at 6:30 at Nick’s Roman Terrace located in the Westland Shopping Center on W. Broad Street.

Bruce gave the Interpreter’s report, which consisted of observations that have come to his attention so far this season. This was given out in written form, also.

OLD BUSINESS

Bruce fielded questions concerning the Arbiter.

NEW BUSINESS

Dave proposed that if we don’t have all of our money from the schools by the banquet date then the rookies should be paid first and the board officers last. This will be addressed if a problem with money occurs.

Dick Foster requested that we send an e-mail message to all coaches and ADs to have all bats and helmets out and ready for the umpire’s inspection prior to the game.

Bill went over the test and answered any questions.

Dave mentioned a couple of rules interpretations that have come to his attention this season.

Bruce went over umpire positioning and answered questions concerning his presentation.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:20 p.m.
