MROS Meeting Minutes

Deep Run Community Center
President
Tom Dent called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m.
Attendance
was taken by sign in sheet.
Bert
Wilson gave the Treasurer’s Report—balance of $2,908.20.
The
minutes from the previous meeting were accepted as presented on the web site.
Commissioner’s
Report:
Bruce
Frye reported that the exam deadline has been extended to 3/15/09. There are
thirteen scrimmages on the schedule for Monday and all help is welcome. The requirements have been dropped to one
scrimmage per member and two per trainee.
All games through May 1st will be posted on the Arbiter this
evening. They must be accepted within one week.
Training
Report:
Dickie
Foster went over the differences between unreported and illegal
substitutes. Also, he went over how and
when to allow the batter ‘time’. The
rest of his session dealt with mechanics of the three-man rotation. For next month he would like us prepared to
discuss tag up responsibilities of each umpire in a three-man game.
The
meeting was adjourned at 6:32 p.m.
The
next meeting is scheduled for Sunday, April 5, 2009, at 5:30 p.m. at Deep Run
Community Center.
