MROS MEETING MINUTES
President Bill Harrison called the meeting to order at 6:03 p.m.
Meeting attendance taken by sign in sheet.
Bill Harrison welcomed all and asked new members introduce themselves.

Bill Harrison provided Treasurer’s Report- balance of $3,345.99 in cash and $3,816.99 in total assets.
Bill Harrison informed members of cancellation of February
14, 2010 meeting. Next meeting scheduled

Commissioner’s
Report:
Bruce Frye distributed 2009 1099 tax forms. Announced to members free NFHS online exam
should be taken between
Training Report:
Rhea Saltz announced the training schedule and advised all second year umpires of their requirement to attend the February 6, 2010 and February 7, 2010 plate mechanic training sessions. All new members will be required to attend all four sessions. Training calendar is located on the ODOA/MROS web site. All members were invited to attend training sessions.
Mentoring Report:
Joe Yates briefly discussed mentoring program and the need for volunteers. He will make assignments once the new training sessions begin.

Promotions:
Bill Harrison postponed vote on the promotion of Sharon Skipper to full member status as she was not present.
Spring Break
Tournament:
John Shepherd briefly discussed plans for a spring break tournament at RF&P on April 6, 20010 and possibility of combing with the Deep Run Tournament.
Treasurer Fee:
Mike Farrar reintroduced request for Treasurer’s fee. Bill Harrison advised the membership will discuss and vote on all fees at the July 6, 2010 business meeting.
Uniform/Pants:
Membership discussed the new charcoal pants and whether they were permissible. Members can wear charcoal, heather or navy blue pants as long both umpires match.
New Business:
Move from ODOA:
Bill Harrison briefly reviewed the executive board’s discussion about breaking away from ODOA and becoming a sole entity. Member feedback is welcome and discussion is ongoing.
There being no further business, Bill Harrison adjourned the meeting at
